New News!

Hello Quilting & Sewing Enthusiasts!

Congratulations!  We made it through winter and thankfully warmer weather is just around the corner!

We have had some changes in-house lately.  You’ve probably heard that Mandy had to leave us as her husband was transferred to Tucson, AZ.  We’ll greatly miss her and wish her well in all her new endeavors.  So, we are down to a skeleton crew:  Dyna, Bonnie, and sometimes MaryAnne and Connie and of course me.  So if you are interested in working on a part-time basis during the week, please let us know.  We need out-going, customer service motivated quilters and sewers that have an interest in selling sewing machines and everything else that goes along with running a quilt store.  The list is endless, but VERY rewarding and FUN!

I always say it’s the most fun you can have on a job but very hard work at the same time.  Don’t be shy, come on in and let us know if you are interested.  Retail experience is very helpful, but not mandatory.

We will have the standard classes available to new ones and some new exciting ones to keep you interested in quilting and in embroidery.  Yes, I said embroidery.  We will be offering embroidery projects for ALL types of embroidery machines.  It’s not a training class for embroidery machines but project orientated.  So keep your eyes open for upcoming projects.  By the way, if you are receiving this newsletter by mail and you also received it by email, please let us know so that we can send it by email only.  Postage is crazy and so are printing costs.  Besides, it will help keep the earth green and I’m sure that all of you want that too.

We will be participating in the Heart of the Valley Quilt Shop Hop on Friday, May 14, Saturday, May 15 from 9am to 7pm and Sunday, May 16 from 10am to 4pm.  There will be gift baskets to win from each shop and you can also win the Shop Hop Quilt from us!  There will be grand gift certificate prizes of $100 from each shop, $50 from each shop and $25 from each shop.  You’ll also receive a goodie bag with the block pattern from each shop you visit. Besides, what a great way to see what the Central Valley Quilt Shops are doing and offering.  All are very different and offer great things.  So grab a group of friends and have FUN!

We are also expecting LOTS of Bali Pops from Hoffman and a winter quilt kit from Hoffman Fabrics.  I can’t wait for you to see it!  We also have LOTS of other fabrics coming in, so come by frequently to see what’s new.

We are also making quilts and doing embroidery for customers.  Prices vary upon the difficulty of the quilt and the time involved.  So, if you need a label made and don’t have an embroidery machine, let us do it for you.

Thanks for being our friends and letting us help you with your quilts.  We look forward to seeing you soon!
